Meet the Kidfixers

Bill Mesibov  attended Union College and SUNY Upstate Medical Center. After his residency at Maimonides and Kings County Medical Centers in Brooklyn, he served in the Air Force. Dr. Bill has 2 children and 6 grandchildren. When he’s not in the office, you can find him gardening, gourmet cooking for his wife, Barbara (ask him for his famous chicken soup recipe), and working out at the Mid Island Y (he’s a long-time officer).     Stuart Altman is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and did his residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital. Dr. Stu and his wife, Sherrill, have 2 sons and 1 incredibly-adorable-amazing grandson.  When not in the office, he enjoys writing (he’s the author of The Kidfixer Baby Book), and he works out when he feels guilty.    Linda Jacobs, also known as Mrs. Matt Geller, is a true “Homey,” born and raised in Woodbury (she’s even a former Kidfixer patient), where she still lives with Matt and their 2 adorable children, Sydney and Spencer. LJ is a graduate of Lehigh University and Syracuse Med School, and trained at Brown. Ask Linda about any reality TV show -- she watches them all whenever she’s not campaigning for her mom, Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs.    Marcia Rubinos attended the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CCNY. She graduated Cum Laude and received her B.S. Thereafter, she attended New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. She completed her Pediatric residency at Miami Children's Hospital where she became interested in childhood blood disorders. After graduation from residency, she returned to NY and entered a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Mt. Sinai Hospital. In her free time Marcia enjoys NY's culture (museums, shows and the ABT). She is an avid reader and world traveler.
